Abstract
The paper presents the results of the calculation of the index companies oil companies in Saint-Petersburg Stock Exchange for the period 1878-1890 gg. The specifics of the data to the methodology of calculation of non-trivial, some of the data necessary to restore artificially. As a result, we obtain data on the index of Russian oil companies in one of the most important periods in the development of the oil industry.
