HISTORY OF INDUSTRIAL BUSINESS IN RUSSIA (XIV CENTURY UNTIL 1860)

Abstract
The article analyzes the development of entrepreneurship in the field of industry in the chronological period from the 16th century until 1860. Revealed that in the 16th century foundation of industrial production of the country were small artisans and craftsmen. Large industrial enterprises began to appear in the era of Peter the Great, which was largely due to the introduction of long-term Northern War. In the future, various Russian rulers were different methods of regulatory instruments of industrial policy, which led to inconsistency of common efforts and trends. Serfdom in the analyzed period was not abolished, and that in general, with other factors, led to a serious backlog in the industry, and the general standard of living of the population of the empire.
