HISTORIOGRAPHICAL LEGACY OF THE HETMANSCHYNA 1708 – 1782

Abstract
The article is devoted to the historiographical legacy of the "Hlukihiv period" in Hetman Ukraine history, quantitative and qualitative characteristics and personalities of the eighteenth century historiographical process. As well as their personal contribution to the Cossack chronicles writing, Diariush, diaries and another historical works as the first attempts to create a documentary base of the corresponding works by shaping the content of national statehood ideology of the very period and its impact on maintaining autonomous legal principles in political relations with Russia and other countries.
