TURKISH PRISONERS IN THE PROVINCE OF KURSK IN THE YEARS 1914–1921

Abstract
The questions related to the stay in the territory of the province of Kursk during World War I and shortly after its completion Turkish prisoners of war and «civilian prisoners». The author describes the reasons for arriving citizens Ottoman Empire in the region in this period, highlights their legal status, provides data on the ethnic composition of those, kind of activities and places of residence.
