Abstract
Monuments of the medieval literature allow to receive representations about an epoch of their creation as though from the first person. Thus in them the basic contradictions of a medieval society are reflected, the main things from which are, first, opposition religious and secular there has begun in a medieval life and culture, and, secondly, the outlined conflict between the basic class of a society - feudal lords and arising city bourgeoisie.
