Abstract
The article deals with the occurrence, development and determining factors of Vietnamese-Chinese conflict in 1979. Particular attention is paid to the role of the USSR in conflict resolution, as well as the consequences of the conflict for the subsequent development of Soviet-Vietnamese relations
