Abstract
The article reveals the peculiarities of extra-curricular activities of the school of Omsk associated with sightseeing during the First world war. Activity of the educational institutions in this area contributed to the circulars of the Ministry of national education. The article is topical, as currently schools are insufficiently used excursions for the development of extracurricular activities among students.
