Abstract
The article examines the relationship of flat-bottomed and a conical-bottomed ceramics of Elshanskaya culture. It is believed that these vessels have existed simultaneously. However this is contradicted by a number of significant differences in their ornamentation and shape of corolla. On a number of Elshanskaya sites flat-bottomed vessels are available. Probably vessels with conical bottom are the most ancient in the culture of Elshanskaya.
