Abstract
The article identifies the causes of division among the Orthodox in Russia and the emergence of the phenomenon of staroobryadtsa, stood moral-physical and economic impacts from the state and the new leadership of the Church. The old believers have preserved their culture and moral values, and has made a significant contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Russia.
