Abstract
The article deals with one of the unexplored questions of history of the Vyatka province during the epoch of Napoleonic war – the supply of horses to Russian cavalry. In 1812-1814 mobilization recourses of theVyatkahorse-breeding were limited. It was determined by the specificity of the main breed of horses. Nevertheless, the local authorities, theVyatkadwellers and messengers from the army could solve this problem successfully.
