SOVIET GOVERNMENT’S POLICY IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORT IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR (ACCORDING TO THE NEWSPAPER “RED SPORT”)

Abstract
In this article, the author examines the main objectives and policies of the soviet government in the field of physical culture and sports in the Great Patriotic war. The author introduces the scientific revolution has not previously published materials of the newspaper "Red sport", which is the most common sports-related periodical during the war years. The article describes the features of sports work among the population in 1941-1945: the formation of special forces from professional athletes, the universal military training, to carry out mass sports competitions at the front and in the rear, promoting the benefits of sport for young people, delivery standards of GTO.
