Abstract
In article the aspiration of the authorities to resolve an ethnic issue in the USSR by support creation in national shots, "education" of the new intellectuals and "the Soviet nation" is analyzed. In the 1950-1980th in the republics of the USSR awakening of national consciousness is observed and there is a folding of dissident national movements concerning which the Soviet state pursued policy of repressions.
