Abstract
In article on the basis of various sources examines the problem of the influence of traditions «Ponizova volnitsa» on the history and the nature of the population of Saratov Volga region. The author believes that excluding the times «Ponizova volnitsa» it is impossible to understand the specifics of development of the region in subsequent periods.
