«PRISONERS OF WAR» AND «CIVIL PRISONERS» FIRST WORLD WAR: THE QUESTION OF DELIMITATION OF THE CONTENT AND CONCEPTS (FOR EXAMPLE, THE LIEGES OF THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE)

Abstract
In the article for the first time in the national historiography systematized basic terms used to refer to prisoners of war and civilian prisoners of the enemy in the Russian legal acts and official correspondence period 1914–1918. The author notes the existence of a dichotomy that existed at the time the conceptual apparatus and displays the list of regulatory signs that allow to generate status characteristics of different categories of prisoners.
